22 October 2020, Adelaide – Silentium Defence, the global leader in passive radar surveillance systems for defence, space and civilian customers today announced it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saab Australia.
The MoU, signed by Silentium Defence Chair, Kim Scott and Saab Australia Managing Director, Andy Keough CSC at Saab Australia’s Adelaide headquarters, will see the companies work together to advance complementary capabilities in Counter UAS (C-UAS) and Situational Awareness solutions.
Dr James Palmer, CEO, Silentium Defence said of the signing, “This partnership is a great example of the demand we’re seeing for the unique capability advantage passive radar delivers for already advanced surveillance systems and platforms.
“Highly customisable, our systems are agnostic by design to allow integration with varied technologies and platforms, both current and future-state.”
Mr Scott, Chair of the Board of Directors for Silentium Defence added, “Working with Saab and other customers and partners to explore additional applications of our technology in the fast-moving C-UAS and surveillance sectors makes sense both commercially and in terms of impact potential for Silentium Defence.
“This particular MoU will give Silentium Defence additional access to local and global civilian and Defence markets to help expand application of our passive radar systems to protect what matters.”
