Silentium Defence were engaged by Boeing Phantom Works to demonstrate affordable airspace situational awareness sensors for beyond visual line-of-site (BVLOS) unmanned aerial systems (UASs). The application of UAS enabling-technologies will benefit a wide range of sectors including mining, oil and gas operations, search and rescue, environmental management, and more. SD has undertaken feasibility studies for Boeing Phantom Works and hosted Boeing Phantom Works representatives at a trial of SD’s passive radar system in South Australia. This highlights another great example of SD’s passive radar solutions.
